ELLERY-Matthew Mecusker was arrested on a bad check charge just six months ago.
Mecusker was taken into custody November 13, following a N.Y. State Police investigation after troopers received a complaint from a local business alleging Mecusker gave them a check in June for over $2,500.that subsequently bounced.
Reported attempts to obtain the balance due were unsuccessful and the case was reported to the authorities in September.
After receiving the complaint, the troopers advised Mecusker of the matter but he reportedly refused to turn himself in.
Mecusker was arrested after a warrant was issued on November 13, and processed at SP Jamestown. He was arraigned in the Town of North Harmony Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.
